Your credit score is decided by the Credit Rating Agencies (CRA’s), CreditLadder is the only way you can report your rent payments to the three main CRAs in the UK, namely Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.

Each CRA has a slightly different scoring range. Experian gives you a credit score between 0-999, Equifax 0-1000 (although this used to be 0-700) and TransUnion 0-710. Based on how you’ve behaved in the past (and in the future) will dictate your credit score. Lenders may use one, two or even all three CRAs when making a lending decision.
